Artist Statement
I am inspired by random organic design in the natural world. I like to explore interactions that evolve in layers and relationships between shape, line, and colour.
Bio
I've returned to art after a career in television broadcast and filmmaking and later in communications work with Seed Change, whose work to preserve agricultural biodiversity I admire because the world so needs it. As a young person, I studied Art History and Film at Queen's University to make sense of the world and later took classes at the Ottawa School of Art. Richard Gorman was a treasured teacher. A few years ago, I picked up charcoal and a paint brush again. To see what would happen.
